AMERSHAM HOUSE – 2017
140 sqm 3-bed house
Approx. budget £270K

After a long search and happy purchase of the desired home away from the hustle and bustle of London, a client who saw our portfolio and liked our style gave us a visit. Soon we were able to start the project in parallel with the work on the remodelling and changes in the architecture of the house, which is always the perfect combination.

As expected, we came up with the idea of a house with a modern structure, strongly focusing on simple structures and bright, spacious rooms. The central axis of the project was the opening of part of the ceiling and the roof (by adding a skylight) and changing the location of the staircase, allowing for additional lighting of the interior and division of rooms following the suggestions received.

The ground floor remained a living area with an open plan kitchen, while the first floor was entirely dedicated to bedrooms, bathrooms and small library space with a desk. This time we decided to propose a more vibrant/funky kitchen – multicoloured, which enlivens the interior and perfectly harmonizes with the floor and vintage armchairs.

We also designed and made all the other bespoke furniture by the brief received from the client, including the media unit, adjusting the dimensions to the selected audio and video equipment. By hanging the cabinet above the floor and installing additional furniture backlight, we managed to achieve the ambient lighting effect that allows using the video projector without eyestrain.

The whole presents an elegant and modern style, fully reflecting the character of the household.
