The process and what is included in the scope of the project
The interior design process is usually divided into three stages:
1. Conceptual design
2. Executive project
3. Site supervision – project management
1. Preliminary – Conceptual design
After the initial measurements on the construction site or based on the construction plans provided by the client, we proceed to discuss the scope of changes and needs, as well as determine the initial budget and work schedule. The next stage is the preparation of concept plans and sketches of rooms and details solutions with all the proposed changes in the design of the rooms, furniture and installations.
Usually, these are two or three different concepts from which we choose the final version with the client for further design work. Then we proceed to determine the colours, selection of the most important finishing materials and furniture, as well as to specify the budget, as well as to prepare a mood board and sample board.
2. Executive project
After approving the conceptual design and precise measurement of the interiors on the construction site, we begin the process of technical design of all agreed solutions, including detailed drawings of each room, electrical, plumbing, heating and other necessary technological solutions depending on the customer’s needs.
Once the plans are accepted and all required corrections finished ,we proceed to the design and selection of flooring, tiling, ceiling design and lighting, along with the selection of lamps plus all architectural elements and details such as doors, handles and plinths etc.
Next, we make all the detailed drawings of individual rooms, bathrooms, kitchens and all custom-made furniture along with a selection of free-standing furniture, curtain, fabrics and other decorative elements.
Ultimately, a comprehensive project is created in the form of a printed book, in which all plans are included, as well as a detailed list of equipment and furniture, which allows our clients to start implementation without worrying about mistakes or later changes in the budget.
3. Site supervision – project management
To meet the needs of clients for whom time is one of the most important factors, we offer a project supervision service throughout the entire duration of the project, as well as finding all necessary contractors needed for implementation. We supervise all teams and contractors at the construction site, paying attention to every detail of the project.
